I look forward to these recommendations at the end of each month.
Recently I went back to the town I used to live in to visit the bakery and the used bookstore. While scanning the shelves I came across your book The Way Around. Now, this may not seem unusual - a book in a bookstore - but this happened in a small town in Canada. Seeing the book on display filled me with excitement and I’m almost finished reading it. I’m now noticing circles everywhere - I hope you keep writing.
Thank you for the recommendations. We had my dad's celebration a few weeks ago at a local sanctuary and I was able to write about him and share in one of my favorite memory-filled places. I hope you find some peace at your mom's.
LOVE salsa verde doritos and they always accompany me on long hikes (the only time I can really feel good about eating them). My sun hoody also is with me on those trips and I can't believe how many decades I walked without one.
And Sedaris. If you haven't read When You Are Engulfed in Flames, I would start there. His older books are a hoot to listen to as well. His family accents are unforgettable.

Thank you! This made my month.

Love this.
You just lit up a bunch of new pathways. Thanks Nick!
